History

The Club: born in September 1998 from the idea of three friends tired of amateur weekend activities, AS Ichnos Calcetto Sassari is the first club in northern Sardinia to enroll in a federal five-a-side football championship, during the almost twenty years old, he has participated over the years in all the events that the FIGC Sardehna Region has organised, first participating in the Serie C championship which was then split into C2 and C1 up to the maximum goals achieved in the 2010/2011 season with the failure to participate in the Play Off for promotion to the National Serie B championship. During all these years, however, he also had an eye on the youth sector from where he produced real champions who, over the years, provided a generational change to the members of the first team. In the youth categories it reached the regional finals of the Under 18 and under 21 championships for two years in a row. For about 2/3 years it has explored the territory and from the needs encountered in the next season it is thought to start with the activities of the first real school 5-a-side football in SASSARI and northern Sardinia.

Our history

In September 1998, three friends who ran a group of athletes dedicated to amateur weekend sports decided to embark on a new sporting project. This involved competing in weekend five-a-side football competitions, but with a well-defined and hierarchical organization, similar to those of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation), the largest Italian sports federation with the largest membership and membership in the country. Thus was born AS Ichnos Calcetto Sassari, the first federal club to participate in a FIGC federal five-a-side football championship, representing Northern Sardinia. In its first season, 1998/1999, it competed in the regional Serie C five-a-side football championship with 15 other teams, finishing in 10th place. Over the course of its twenty-year career, it has participated in all the events organized by the FIGC Region of Sardinia, initially competing in the Serie C championship, which was then split into C2 and C1, until reaching its peak in the 2010/2011 season, when it failed to make the playoffs for promotion to the national Serie B championship. Throughout these years, however, it has also kept an eye on the youth sector, producing true champions who, over the years, have provided the right generational turnover for the members of the first team, placing Ichnos among the oldest clubs in the Sardinian Futsal scene. From 1998 to 2019/2020, the club regularly competed in the youth categories, reaching the regional finals of the Under-18 and Under-21 championships for two years in a row. Over this long period of activity, the club has refined and perfected the ICHNOS product and, with far-sighted attention, has ensured compliance with the state regulations, adhering to the old legislation governing the economic life of non-profit sports clubs and, above all, establishing a permanent consultancy office for the purely financial management of sponsors. Over the years and as regulations changed, the former AS Ichnos calcetto Sassari has further conformed to the tax regulations governing non-professional sports clubs, moving from a Sports Association to an Amateur Sports Association, as required by current legislation.

SPORTS ACTIVITIES CURRENT SEASON

Ichnos has participated in the regional five-a-side football championship organized by the FIGC LND CR Sardegna for 28 consecutive years. All official matches, both in the league and the Italian Cup, will be streamed live on our YouTube channel, Ichnos TV.
